Maybe it's been a while since you sat down with some Law & Order Franchise and you've been missing your facetime with your Dr. George Huang, portrayed by the preternaturally calm B.D. Wong. We know we've been missing him lately, so tonight's the night to head over to Symphony Space (95th and Broadway) to check out Wong and Stephen Lang read stories from Roald Dahl and J. Robert Lennon, as part of the Selected Shorts series. Wong's a frequent reader for them, so if you can't make it tonight at 6:30PM, there's always another time.

For tonight's later shift, there's the always stellar Happy Ending Reading Series, hosted by Amanda Stern, tonight at Happy Ending Lounge (302 Broome St. at Forsyth). Tonight's guests are Janice Erlbaum, Rebecca Godfrey and
Dave King. Doors open at 7:30PM and the show starts at 8PM.

Then tomorrow night (3/9), head down to the Bowery Poetry Club (308 Bowery at Bleeker) for the second annual Charles Bukowski Praise Day, hosted by Tsaurah Litzky. Writers and fans of Bukowski's work are gathering there on his birthday to read aloud his poems and celebrate his life, starting at 10PM, no cover!

And, while we can't even believe we're suggesting you do this (so please don't hold it against us), Macaulay Culkin is reading from his .... uh .... memoir? novel? Junior, at Barnes and Noble (33 E. 17th St) on Monday, 3/13. Yes, you heard right: Macaulay Culkin, whose book and life were also reviewed in New York. And if we're feeling like we've got a strong enough stomach to witness Home Alone reading from My First Novel, we might even be there.
