The Running of the Brides 2006

In case you were by Union Square yesterday morning and wondered what the deal with the women lined up in front of Filene's was all about, here is your answer: It was the annual Running of the Brides.

Basically Filene's Basement put some huge markdowns on their bridal dresses (i.e. $5,000 dresses selling for $250) and the brides-to-be (and their mothers) lined up and stormed the store when it opened at 8 A.M., leading to some enjoyable pictures and many funny anecdotes we are sure.
