Infant walkers and similar devices have been associated with some rather tragic accidents, including falls and strangulations. It is also controversial as to whether their use accelerates or delays walking. Although widely used, one has to question whether depriving babies of the ability to crawl really makes developmental sense. Then you put a white kid without a sense of rhythm in one and you've got a public health disaster.

that was just pathetic, honestly, there are so many better videos on the net. I really hope that's a baby of someone you know in brooklyn and just wanted to put them on gothamist, because it sure as hell wasn't entertaining.

Gothamist was so much more enjoyable to read when most of the entries were from Jen Chung. Now it's being polluted by half-asses and hipsters-in-denial such as Jake. I haven't erased this site from my bookmarks yet, but it's becoming more and more tempting, unfortunately.

Most babies do this. Maybe they'll turn up the volume excitedly on enough bad disco & regularly film the dance party. Then the kid could even grow up to be the shameless wedding reception camera hog who showcases the white man's overbite while doing "The Humpty Dance."

Yes, babies are cute. And goofy "everybody look at my kid" parents are just such an easy mark. We Americans are not getting political over this baby 'having a boogey,' as you so sweetly put it.
