Coming this Spring: Movable Hype 7.0

2006_03_arts_cloudcult.jpgSince it's already been mentioned on some other sites, we thought we'd give you a big heads up for the next Movable Hype show. It's not until April 17th, but tickets are already on sale. You can buy them here. So far we've confirmed Cloud Cult, and we'll be announcing the rest of the bands and comedian hosts as we book them!

For now, more info on the band we have booked. For those who don't know Cloud Cult...

- Brooklyn Vegan just posted some info on them.
- Pop Matters reviews their 2004 release, Aurora Borealis, and gives some background on the singer, Craig Minowa's, life (more at the band's own website).
- Pitchfork gave their 2005 release, Advice From the Happy Hippopotamus, an 8.3.
- Gothamist contributer Jeff wrote about the band last year (not to mention introduced us to their music), and also posted some mp3's.

Listen: Breakfast With My Shadow.mp3 - Cloud Cult

So Much Silence also has a bunch of mp3's from the bands stripped down set on KEXP.

Movable Hype 7.0 // April 17th // Knitting Factory (main space) // $8 on Ticketweb, $10 day of show
