Karen will likely move back to NYC in a few years, once she realizes how much of a sprawled-out, strip-malled, quasi-suburban hell LA is.

Saturday was great. The crowd was into it as much as the band was and it was rocking. To show the difference at the Satuday show from the others, during the slow songs people were yelling out "we love you karen!' yeah, i knew going that the show was going to be most of the new stuff, but it was good. can't wait to hear the album now.

there was an actual barfight behind me. like... because some fratty dudes in hemp necklaces were grinding on some older hipster's girl. (i think.) anyway... one dude got kicked out and the girl cried after some crappy rumble.
i mean, come on.

glad i'm not alone in being utterly disgusted with crowds at shows lately. seriously people if you dont want to shut up there is a lounge/bar in most of these venues, dont ruin it for the people around you who actually came to see the bands.

i'm thinking at some point the venue should take the responsibility to step in and try and help the situation. sometimes its just out of hand.

the only _good_ crowd i've seen recently was at the Explosions in the Sky show at Bowery, where the crowd was exemplary.
