NY Bathrooms (& More) Needed

2006_02_arts_amerstand.jpgAmerican Standard: The Movie is a comedy about a day in the interconnecting lives of young, professional New Yorkers. Sounds pretty standard...however this story is told through the intimate moments that occur within the bathroom walls of apartments, offices, restaurants, and bars throughout the city. We wonder how a film crew can even fit in a NYC bathroom.

You can follow the film as it gets brought from paper to celluloid on the website. In addition, the filmmakers need more props...so if you're in a band, have a website, a book, a store, a clothing line, or anything to promote, they can use it to dress dozens of NYC apartments. Read: free advertising!

On top of that, more bathrooms and more extras are needed...so contact them if you want to get involved. You can probably do so on their myspace page.

  • Hey, just wanted to make an open offer to anyone (in new york or not). I run a web page called New York Bathrooms where people can contribute images of bathrooms, along with any comments. Strange bathrooms, really good or really bad, whatever. Feel free to visit, and contribute any media you might have! Thanks to gothamist for covering the (non gay, non drug) bathroom culture.
