I took a couple of pictures of the plants (here and here. The damage is worse than my photos show. There are worse crimes for sure, but this is completely senseless.

I happened to be in Union Square this afternoon and saw the damaged plants (photos here and here. The damage is worse than my pictures show. There are worse crimes but this is absolutely senseless.

I've always hated grafitti vandals but this jerk is in a league by himself. He should have been caught by a gardener and beaten with a tree limb. That would have been poetic justice. The best example of arborcide justice ocurred in Arizona when a drunk was shotgunning ancient saguaro cacti. One of them toppled over and killed the bastard.

Homo = human, more than homo = same, however both derivations justify the meaning of the word. What wouldn't the cops do if they could get away with it?

Well, it's better than getting arrested for peeing on the plants. (Although, if this guy has to go to prison, he is so f***ed, "Oz"-style. Imagine when the other inmates ask him what he's in for?)

"horticultural homicide?" I pray the post made that up. Homo = same, cide = kill. Applies only to humans. The cops wouldn't actually arrest someone for a made-up charge, would they? Oh, wait. See Critical Mass story above.

Jeez, it took the cops three weeks to catch this guy? Too bad he wasn't riding a bicycle. The cops would have been out in force, hunting him down with their SUVs etc.
