NukFam (for short) is a local hip-hop collective out of Park Slope, Brooklyn. Perhaps not too well known for its bustling hip-hop scene, these guys have carved a unique niche out of the laid back hood with their creative use of obscure samples and educated wordplay. Their annual Pre-Thanksgiving Day blowout at Southpaw acts as the official reunion for many of the local high schools these guys once attended and is widely regarded as one of the best parties the club sees all year. This Friday the boys are coming into Manhattan to headline an evening of underground hip-hop at the Mercury Lounge, featuring side project Junk Science (Nukkers Baje One and DJ Snafu) on the undercard.

Check out their Myspace page to listen to a few tracks.

Not to be confused with The Nuclear Family, also local, and probably funnier. And in possession of many, many more wigs.
