I hear you on the F train. The F goes down all the time, but it doesn't cause such a fuss. Probably it's because the people on the F line aren't spoiled soccermom transplants like the people on the first couple of stops on the L are, apparently.

Seriously emily! The J and M train (WTF does the Z actually do, I never see it) are great. The unfortunate reality is they are the underdogs, colored brown and only stopping in manhattan for a few locations and transfer spots. But yeah, ride that train at Marcy. It runs, like every minute or something and goes to Delancy, Essex and Canal St.

On your way to the Bedford runway, stop at the unjustly undiscovered Aldo's diner on S. 4th just off Havemeyer. Cheap cheap cheap and it's been owned by the same family for decades. Party like it's 1979! Right around the corner is Roulette, a cool vintage furniture store run by film set designers on their days off. All worth it. Or I guess you could get an expensive steak.

i don't think the MTA is the only one who is telling williamsburg to go F themselves, i think the rest of the population of TRUE new yorkers are.
