Mr Adams provided 22 years of service, and is set to retire in about three weeks. If the city succeeds in terminating him, his pension gets revoked. And why are they firing him? Because Mr Adams simply said the mayor shouldn't have waited until one hour before the Harlem debate to announce the terror threat. The city kept the terror threat a secret for two whole days prior.
