My dog wears boots to protect against the salt, but if they protect from stray voltage too, so much the better!

I lived upstairs from Barkis all of last summer, he was a really sweet dog and I was sorry to hear about what happened to him. Margaret, my dog won't wear boots either. Go to a pet store and get a small tub of Musher's Secret, it's a dense waxy cream you apply to their pads so they don't get burned by salt or have iceballs form between their toes.

So scary! We got shoes for our beagle (to protect him from the stinging salt particularly), but he won't wear them. He flails for a few minutes then just flops over and chews them off. I have tried everything to keep them on. Maybe I need to just put him in the Bbay Bjorn and keep his feet off the ground till we reach the park. :)
