There was something on fire under Rivington just east of Essex on Blizzard Sunday. When I came back, there were a few ConEd emergency trucks that had the street closed off and were working on it. Perhaps the blizzard was some kind of "War Of The Worlds"-like coverup for the beginning of an invasion.

In the lines of the comment left on Shanhaiist: We all should steal manhole covers too. A creative, albeit dangerous way, to limit congestion on thoroughfares. If you want to drive, then go ahead and take the risk. Most crosswalks and bike lanes would be left intact. Who's with me?!
