New Yorker: Filled With Spam!

2006_2_nyerforums.jpg

When someone sent us a link to the New Yorker forum, we were excited-- we expected dozens of threads filled with high-minded discussion. After all, the New Yorker is arguably the best magazine published in America-- would we expect anything less from their website? Unfortunately, yes: their "forum" turns out to be about 85% spam, and the remaining threads seem to be pretty dead. Someone needs to clean this place up! [Reminder: Gothamist also has a forum-- and bonus: it's reasonably spam free!]

That's not spam. Citing signficant declines in circulation the New Yorker has started supplementing their bottom line with penis enlargement sales and pirate software.
