i was walking to work a few weeks ago, heading west on E. 10th street behind two guys
the one guy says to the other guy, "see that street over there (motioning towards Stuyvesant Street) its the only street in manhattan that actually runs on the east/west axis"

can anyone confirm or deny this claim?
heres a link to a google map
http://maps.google.com/?ll=40.730047,-73.988543&spn=0.005764,0.010064&t=h
its the street that runs on a diagonal btwn 9th & 10th streets

I moved to NYC last April; and I'd never heard of Manhattanhenge until just now. But I guess, I've seen it. I was walking home from work one day this summer when I snapped this shot with my camera phone .
