Lonely hearts can cheer up this Valentine's day with the chance to win a meal cooked especially for them by Room 4 Dessert's chef de cuisine, Bob Truitt. The restaurant emailed Gothamist with the dirty (delicious) details, describing the event:
Valentine's Day Special: Aside from running a prix fixe option for couples, we are simultaneously running a "lonely hearts" event...where we will auction off Bob Truitt (the guy in the middle of your photo), allegedly starting at $200 (but i dont know if ithis is true). he'll be responsible for cooking a full meal (including dessert) for the winning bidder.
Gothamist was lucky enough to stop in for a preview just days ago, savor the experimental dessert palate concocted by Truitt and head chef Will Goldfarb. Ladies (and gents and couples): swing by for low-lit ambience, dessert, and for one lucky winner, a personal chef and date for the night.
Room 4 Dessert is located at 17 Cleveland Place, (b/w Spring and Kenmare). They are open 4-11 Monday - Thursday; 5-12 Friday; and 6-1am Saturday. 212-941-5405.

So, they should be able to fit about four couples in that space... Where are they going to put the "singles"?
Will and Bob were talking about the $200 bid last week. Bob's a sweetie--if 1) I weren't old enough to be his mother and 2) I had an extra $200+ lying around, I'd think about bidding.
Do we know he is single?
Oooh, Bob is cute.
And I'm a raging foodie (who can cook, too!)
Can't I just alert Room4 of the charitable donations I've made elsewhere? In lieu of this fact I don't have the extra $200 +, but I'm young enough NOT to be his mother, either...;)
hmm, i'm interested in the bespectacled asian with a infectious smile. the forlorn hispanic gent can run static on the friend.
