AS for stadiums, um, don't let's forget the totally obnoxious crew up at Yankee stadium who will ruin the game for you every time. I have never NOT had a game spoiled by several cretins in my immediate area, in good seats as well as cheap ones. There is just no point in going unless you want to keep hollering into your cell phone, like the dumbass lady who sat behind me last time, "Look at me! Can you see me now?! I'm right here behind third. I'm waving!!!"

What's the big deal about going to the ballpark anyway? Assuming I was interested in sports, why would I want to go sit in uncomfortable seats with lousy, overpriced food and beverages when I could sit at home in my easy chair, with the TiVo going so I could get up to get cheap munchies from the kitchen or to go to the bathroom without missing anything?

I knew the whole stadium deal was too good to be true. Sports teams should not be subsidized in any way shape or form - and that includes eminent domain and tax breaks.
New stadiums and arenas tend to have limited effect, the effect is limited to the millionaire owners who charge large sums of money so people can see millionaires play a child's game.
The Nets should stay in New Jersey, and the Yankees should feel free to move across the river too. These greedy bastards deserve to be stuck in a swamp in New Jersey.
