People Watching with the Times Square Cams

2006_2_timesquarecams1.jpg

Sometimes when it's a slow news day, we like to click up to Camera 4 at the Times Square camera site. Sure-- most people prefer camera 1 (live streaming video) or camera 2 (pan/tilt views of the MTV HQ), but we like camera 4. It has a stop-action picture of the sidewalk in front of an electronics store on 47th Street, and watching as people flash by is a strangely zen activity. Anyone else have a NYC webcam stream that they enjoy vegging out to? Put it in the comments.

Here's a good one, if you like this sort of thing. It has lots from the UK, as well as other countries (including the US).

Sorry to say it, but chronically vegging out to webcams is kind of creepy.
