Gothamist reader Paige shares her interactive map showing street food across the city, including the famous arepa lady, the Mud truck, and some lesser known vendors, such as an "empanada guy" in Brooklyn and "pushcart shave ice dudes." We've already got a few to add, particularly all the finalists from this year's Vendy awards. Be sure to add your favorites too!

i had the best, hot and fresh falafel at a food cart at 53rd and 6th yesterday afternoon. tasty.
I hope the dosa guy in Washington Square Park gets a Vendy, the guy across from the Law school... If you haven't been there, you should really check it out. Delicious and cheap.
He was one of the finalists -- he ROCKS!
Empanada guy... ha, I forgot about him. The joy his greasy little bundles of joy used to bring me when he'd walk into a bar at 3 in the morning!
I LOVE Empanada Guy! I used to be skittish about buying food from an Igloo cooler at 3am, but after my 24 hrs of projectile vomiting from the Garden of Eden salad bar (23rd st - they determined it was probably "outdated feta," and offered me a free lunch!), I just don't care. Besides, he (or is it his mother?) probably exercises more care and caution in the preparation of his product than any chain.
Slightly off-topic, but shovel, I know where you're coming from: G of E has slid waaaay downhill. The hygiene at the Montague Street branch is beyond sketch -- the nasty-ometer is pegged all the way to the right.
Oh, and the soup guy cart at 6th and 52nd is pretty great.
hey guys, if you guys have a time please i wants you to try one of the best food in manhattan and his best "INDIAN KATI ROLL" its realy... yum yum yum
