OMG! That was harsh! I agree the bartender was maybe a little too old for the job but I hope I look that good when I'm in my 40s! And he has a nice accent. I agree that the place is DEAD DEAD DEAD though. Kinda sad because the interior is to die for!

This is a lonely little sad bar that should have stayed a restaurant. Only about 2 middle aged guys go here (including the bartender even though he was awkwardly stuffed into a pathetic skin tight shirt) each time I've given the place a try. I'm giving up. You can find cooler gay guys in the straight bars on Smith St.

Beautifully-designed space. Subtly sexy and elegant. All the elements work together without being overly "matchy" as well as being beautiful and interesting in themselves. And yes, a very beautiful bartender. Went early on St. Valentine's Day night, so there wasn't much of a crowd. I expect they should do well, though, as they deserve. Actually, come to think of it, the music was a bit to discoish for the environment, I thought. But perhaps that's just me.

Oh man, that is a soul killing move. I know they don't turn enough tables so I'm not suprised, you gotta make a living, but Diane is way too brillant to be on the sidelines.

Diane and Joe are the owners of Dragon Lounge. They just decided to rework the Soju space into a cocktail destination.

If an Angry Dragon were a cocktail, what would be in it?

I propose:

Bacardi 151
Tequila
tabasco sauce
lemon twist

This combo should be so disgusting, one taste and it will be like a slap to the head and it will come out of your nose, like an angry dragon.

Source?

I believe the space has new owners - in which case I see no reason to go, unless Pierro the Peruvian bartender is still the mixer (the man is gorgeous, and I'm not even gay).

Soju rocked! Joe and Diane were wonderful owners. These folks had a terrific French-Asian cooking school on Court Street but got forced out of their lease. Now I have heard they are moving to Manhattan - good for them (I hope).

Diane's unique spices are pure genius, passed down from her Korean mom. Huge loss IMO - but I imagine that end of Atlantic is a tough go for a low margin resy. Too bad they never got onto a high foot traffic area like Montague or Smith, they would have been a hit.
