Mystery Puddle at Seventh Avenue Station in Park Slope

Submitted on Gothamist Contribute:

at the 7th ave F station in brooklyn, on the 8th ave end of the platform, at 6 pm tonight, there was a giant red puddle of blood or blood-like substance with a plastic bag next to it and a person (not in uniform) shuffling people out of the way. apparently earlier in the evening cops diverted people from that area of the platform altogether and made them use a different staircase. what the heck?
We can't find any stories about an incident at the 7th Avenue stop in Park Slope - yet. Does anyone know what happened?

I heard the Kool-Aid guy is on the loose! Maybe the cops chased him around the corner and some punch leaked out of his spout. That's centrifugal force baby (I know there is no such thing as centrifugal force but the Kool-Aid guy is for real)

Ohhh yeahhhhh!

I saw this too. It was near the stairs of the 8th Ave. exit on the outbound platform. I was on the inbound platform. Looked like blood to me. Some of it was smeared on the wall of the staircase, as if someone was struggling to climb the stairs. Scattered around was what looked like medical waste (gauze, IV bags, etc.)

When I got off at that end of the platform around 7, the stairs and the last few feet had been bleached and rinsed and police tape roped off the staircase. The cops were still there, but they weren't stopping people from ducking under and around the tape to get out of the station.

Must be a mutant cuddle puddle!

Another snapple slushie incident gone wrong?

I got out on the 7th Avenue side at around 6:30 and I didn't notice anything unusual. But there's a hospital like 3 blocks from the subway, so maybe someone in need to emergency medical attention decided to train it instead of springing for an ambulance.

they were filming a movie last night...maybe it's related?

OMG the suspense is driving me crazy! going to work this morning i noticed the whole station had been doused w/ water and a strong-smelling cleaning solution. WTF!!

My boss was getting off the train around 5:30 and saw a man lying in a puddle of blood stiff as a board at that stop. It was unclear if he was attacked or just fell.

i was on my way to manhattan right after this incident. not exactly sure what happened, but what i saw from acroos the platform was a very large man laid lifeless at the bottom of the stairwell leading up to 8th ave. the police had arrived at the same time as myself. already there was a plain clothed man with rubber gloves trying to resuscitate the man with chest compressions. after a couple minutes of this i heard the man give a slight cough and he was moved onto a stretcher by four paramedics and carried out of the station. my impression was that the man had a heart attack, collapsed, and cracked his head on the concrete platform.
