Hey, is there any way the sports entries on Gothamist could have more specific titles? I read Gothamist through my firefox feed bookmark. I go through and choose the titles that seem interesting to me. I have no interest in anything spots related, but I always waste my time clicking on things like this because "What Happened?" tells me nothing about the article. Could we do sports articles more like, "Rangers: What Happened?" Pretty please?

the problem in dancing larry. that freakin guy in 407 that has been dancin to that same song for a dozen years.. and every time he does, the other team ties it up.

come on larry, you had a nice run, but time to hang up the dancin shoes. no one likes you.

especially annoying is that the flyers did not have possession of the puck for the first minute-and-a-half of OT as the jagr line dominated. and as soon as he went off for that change -- boomf, turnover and goal. so frustrating.

Before the Buffalo game, Jagr was on a three or four game scoring draught and the Rangers were still winning. They've got strong scorers in Rucinsky, Straka, Prucha, and Sykora, plus Moore for the empty netter. I don't really worry about scoring anymore. I do agree that they could stand to take the body a little more, especially on defense with big guys like Malik and Poti.

A bigger problem with the Rangers is their lack of scoring forward depth and size. If Jagr doesn't score, then the Rangers lose. While he did score in that game, there weren't enough contributions from other players to clinch the victory. The Flyers used their size to push the Rangers around with the forecheck which helped their come from behind victory.

Renney deserves kudos for helping the Rangers overcheive with their talent deficit if any credit at all.

Rucchin blew it on one of the 3rd period goals by deflecting what would have been an easy save for Lundqvist. Still, if a whole game can go south because of one mistake, there's more of a problem. We'll have a chance to get them back Sunday.

(Hmm, it doesn't have the same ring as "1940!" Not that I care about hockey since the labour problems.)
