We've long been fans of Thundercut, makers of those amazing crossing sign men and crazy helicopter car paste-ups. One thing always puzzled us: how do they make their cool cutouts? The answered is revealed in this very cool high-speed video (Via Wooster.) Related: more Thundercut at Streetsy.

this is pretty good. But why isn't this vandalism and grafitti is?

oh it's totally vandalism, all street art is. Seeing how vandalism is "Willful or malicious destruction of public or private property." Some may say it's not destructive, but if it wasn't then it wouldn't be illegal. I still enjoy it though.

Still the best one is the "rock on" black stickers on the red hand. It's simple, and easily overlooked. But it rocks.

This is a free decoration service as far as I’m concerned :-)

If they are stupid enough to put video of them doing what the city considers vandalism, one can expect the NYPD to come and get them.
