There are tons of meta-property maps these days that pull results from all the local real estate companies, but Trulia has a really nice looking interface, so it's definitely worth checking out. The site also has some cool features, like an email notification for properties that meet your specifications, and a great NYC fact sheet chock full of data links. Also worth a looksie: Trulia Brooklyn!
Deep-thought of the day: Trulia seems to be edging towards a straight Multi-Listing-Service model-- how long will it be until someone events a low-fee Trulia-style MLS, and what impact will that have on broker's commission percentages in the city?

is there one of these for rentals?
another great feature of truila brooklyn - locating upstate properties for sale on brooklyn streets of the same name! not that anyone would believe something would be selling for 286,000 on the corner of smith and union....
