Toby,

The locomotive is a class 103 e-lok of the Deutsche Bahn and the cars are 1st class cars in 70s/80s livery. I have fond memories as a child travelling with my mom having dinner on one of these trains between Hannover and Frankfurt. The dining car was also red/beige.

Although I'd never be mistaken for a hip person, I've been to the Outsider Art Fair several times and it is always interesting. Plus, much of the art is actually affordable.

Um, the artwork pictured looks nothing like any Metro-North train, save for the red stripe which is seen on some equipment mainly used on the New Haven line. For some reason they strike me as a Deutsche Bahn train.
