As for the sign itself, when are people going to do more creative stuff with things like that?
That looks like it took about 5 seconds to do in Word.
When I made SUV=WAR stickers, I made it look like a little New York license plate (I also did some with a DC plate for use in DC).
Here is sort of a retro 50's version of the Is it facism yet sign that I just did up rather quickly. That type of sign is better if uses something whimsical to draw your attention in. A a bold sans serif in the Helvetica Bold range is just boring.
