Second Thoughts?

2006_01_sbrown.jpgDo you think Larry Brown might be reconsidering his decision to leave Detroit for New York? Since Detroit is a league-best 32-5, it is probably safe to assume that they have no regrets about Larry’s departure. Thursday they showed their old coach that he has a lot of work to do if he wants to ever see the NBA Finals again.

The Pistons destroyed the Knicks 105-79, but it wasn’t even that close. Time after time, they exploited the porous Knicks’ defense to find the open man and make the easy shot. Rip Hamilton had 26 points while Rasheed Wallace added 23. Perhaps the only good news for the Knicks was that Antonio McDyess had a bad night against his former team.

Before the game, the NBA announced that Antonio Davis would be suspended five games for going into the stands to protect his wife Wednesday night in Chicago. Details are still emerging from the incident, but the person involved in the altercation with Kendra Davis is claming innocence and is suing her while pursuing battery and slander charges against the couple.
