I was planning a trip to FL to check out a few Mets spring games in March - gotta plan around this tourney if I want to see anyone worthwhile. Might I also suggest planning to see a different team if you want to see anyone worthwhile :)

from the wbc netherlands page: Jones, who led the Majors with 51 homers and the National League with 128 RBIs this season, is a native of Curacao, which is located in The Netherlands Antilles. He could be joined on this team by fellow Curacao native Randall Simon and Sidney Ponson, a native of Aruba, which is also located in the Antilles.

Andruw Jones for the Netherlands? That was a shocker. Nah, not at all a shocker. Jones is famous for being one of only a few MLBers who can lay claim to Dutch citizenship. He's from Curacao, part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

I'm not crazy about the World Baseball Classic taking place before the season. Most of the guys on the rosters are superstars and any injuries sustained in the series will cripple their MLB teams going into the season... www.forgotten-ny.com
