Vanity Signage - Coming Soon to a Store Near You

2006_01_vanitysign.jpg

First there was the vanity license plate, now there's vanity signage. We spotted this sign on the Chinatown/Lower East Side border, but Gothamist isn't sure what the sign was for as there was a gate covering it. We're curious though - if the MTA can stop a bagel store from copying their look, can the state shut down this store? Or maybe the person with the sign actually has a plate that says H8DAGAME.

As good as the sign is, it's clear that someone does H8 from the looks of the back of the sign.
