Jets Searching for New Coach

2006_01_bradway.jpgWith Herman Edwards having left for Kansas City (and a substantial raise) and the Jets saying they allowed him to go, Gang Green is left looking for a new head coach.

The list of names confirmed as serious candidates for the Jets position is growing: New England Patriots defensive coordinator and Bill Belichick disciple Eric Mangini, former Saints coach Jim Haslett, Rams interim head coach Joe Vitt and the Jets' own coordinators Donnie Henderson and Mike Heimerdinger. Even Mike "Vikes Gone Wild" Tice, a Central Islip native, will get an interview. Reports suggest everyone considers the 34-year-old Mangini the front-runner.

i hope they go with tice, haslett or even sherman just because all of those options would be qutie amusing.

Tice sucks. Great player coach, but he didn't control his team and can't give you a even team. Look at the stats he's a 8 & 8 coach, can't give you a full season of wins.
