Record Traffic for the Airports of NYC

2006_01_panynj.gifThe Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced yesterday that the JFK, Newark and LaGuardia airports accounted for almost 100 million passengers in the past year, making the system the busiest in the country. So thats why there are always insane waits at the airports! JFK saw an increase of more than 10% to 41 million passengers, Newark had 33 million, a 3% increase and LaGuardia's traffic increased by 7% to 26 million. The Port Authority points out a recent report that their airports account for almost 500,000 jobs and $57 billion in economic traffic.

It's all well and good being the busiest, but if it doesn't do passengers any good when they're stuck in endless delays in the area. Have you seen an increase in the passengers in the area?

This is so true...I've been doing a lot of flying in and out of Laguardia. No flight of mine arriving into Laguardia has been on time for as long as I can remember over the past 6 months of my flying.
