I think that axe has been every native New Yorkers fantasy for years. My own variations are electrified doors and retractable razor blades.
Here's a tip for comic strip artists. First, Read Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes. Now, if it isn't as good then shoot yourself in the head.
Boy was that not funny.
I always envisioned some way of applying some sort of electric shock to door holders that was built into the doors. Hold the door and ZAP!
