With regard to Roger Toussant's messenger bag, the Gawker article states "he carries a messenger bag with the TWO emblem" - I think they mean TWU.
Also Westchester and some of the counties above got snow, so the local TV news correspondents were dispatched to those far flung spots.
Christmas truck dude is just a nice guy that goes swimming at the Metropolitan Pool in Williamsburg. I think he's a retired sanitation guy. He probably just got attached to the decorations and won't take them off til February, sort of like when I was 5 and wouldn't take off my Halloween costume until Thanksgiving.
