Once again Tiki Barber led the Giants to a victory. Tiki ran for a 95-yard touchdown in the first quarter and a total of 203 yards in the game as the Giants beat Oakland 30-21 Saturday. Barber’s performance capped off an amazing season where he finished with 2,390 yards rushing and receiving, the second highest total in NFL history.
The win gives the Giants the NFC East crown, an achievement few thought was possible before the season began. Unfortunately, due to the ways things shook out, they will face the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the playoffs. Carolina was one of the preseason favorites of many publications and matched the Giants with an 11-5 record in 2005.
If the Giants are going to beat the Panthers, they will need to get healthy quickly. It sounds like some players are coming back, but not having Antonio Pierce in uniform on Sunday would be devastating and he has yet to get out of his cast. The Giants can only hope that will change in the next six days.

Is it just me or does it feel a lot like the 1990 season when they won it all?
(Not truly equivalent in terms of talent-just the feeling of how they've all stepped it up):
Tiki=OJ
Eli=Hoss
Shockey=Bavaro
Strahan=LT
Plexico=Stephen Baker, touchdown maker
Toomer=Ingram
etc.
eli will need to grow a 'stache.
