- Some transit union workers aren't happy with the union's deal
- Two people were rescued from the Hudson River when their small engine plane failed; that's why various rescue choppers were flying so low to the Hudson earlier
- Complaints against the NYPD increased last year
- A man saved his mothe from a fire in her Bed-Stuy home
- And those passengers who were stranded on the Amtrak train from Florida to NYC for an extra day are talking to reporters: "They starved us, they didn't want to feed us. Nothing. We were on the tracks for 48 hours and before they fed us it was about 30 hours."

1. WNBC at 6PM had Jay DeDapper trying to ask subway conductors on trains if they were for the contract. He really didn't get any answers, but he was bothering them when they were trying to work.
2. The plane crash was in Yonkers. NYPD aviation and marine units assisted, as well as the Coast Guard.
3. Long distance Amtrak trains are awful. Being stranded on a short haul train on the Northeast Corridor is better. Its fun to be "rescued" by a New Jersey Transit train.
I've only taken Amtrak between NY and DC. It's never been a good experience and now, more than ever, it's really, officially cheaper to fly.
Transit workers should be happy with the contract and not complain. They won't get a contract as good as this one the second time around.
