Saturday Cute: Hamster Edition

2005_12_hamster1.jpg

Don't you wish that instead of greasy, scary rats, New York City was infested by cute hamsters? That would be awesome. [Pictures by SeattleRoll, ILikeIt, and SeattleRoll again!]

you are the best, somtimes you get in the way and reck stuff but no matter what your still my best friend ever!!

The "news" is simply stuff Gothamist rips from the Post, NY1.com and the NYTimes. Gothamist simply paraphrases their stories, sometimes use their photos, and re-hashes it as their own content. And they profit from this. I wonder how much longer the papers will let this happen unchecked.

  • Then why does the MTA put out poison for them in subway stations?

I would like to point you to the following website:

    Leave the rats be.

  • Most rodents are vermin. Are you going to be publishing photos of cute subway rats next?

You guys missed the mark on this one, THOSE ARE RATS. And rats (or mice) ain't cute. I'm sorry, but someone had to say it.

I'm going to have to agree with praxis here. The only reason I come here is for news and info on new york, which is quite good, but it's really annoying to wade through all the non-nyc crap you put up here. start another blog for all that if you want.

Please, Gothamist; stop the "cute" parade. Enough is enough, and you're starting to scare me. Have the short days done their depressive work already? Are you not getting any? Have you recently recovered buried memories of childhood molestation? Whatever it is, the kitsch must die here, now. Please. No bunnies, hamsters, puppies, or baby anythings, at least until spring. You're making me pine for the sweet misanthropy of your arch-nemesis Gawker. Wonder if they've posted any bludgeoned baby seal pics recently....
