We were walking on Rivington Street this afternoon when we noticed this message printed on a bag and taped to the fence opposite Teany, the tea shop owned by electronic music star Moby. Anyone know the story behind it? Was the dog just abandoned there? What happened to the owner? So many questions!

I really hate it when people tie their dogs outside in this weather. Even if you're "just running in for a sec," leave the poor dog at home (assuming, of course, you have heat). So the personal attacks, widespread generalizations, and copy-editing don't reflect well on the lot of us as readers and commenters on Gothamist.
Of course, I guess there isn't much saying anything has to reflect well on us... But don't people have a shred of pride? An inkling of a desire for credibility through logic?
