- The MTA and TWU must still negotiate the new contract but, Festivus miracle, there are no (major) weekend diversions planned!
- World Trade Center debris may move to a new landfill in Staten Island
- The Villager covered a town hall that NYU had with the community over their development plans
- Peter Braunstein is officially indicted
- Festivus miracle 2: Donald Rumsfeld announces that the US will start to withdraw troops from Iraq
- This Johnny Walker ad (photograph by Tien Mao) ran in the NY Times and NY Post (that we saw - possibly even more papers); it's works beautifully, because it's relevant, on message, and Gothamist really did want to drink a lot during the strike

And in case most of you are traveling away from broadband glories at a desk this weekend, we hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend. Don't worry those of you who will be online - we'll still be posting.

I personally love the holidays because the midwesterners leave the city in droves. Let it snow!
