Pro Bowl Rosters Announced

2005_12_sprobowl.jpgThe NFL announced the rosters for the Pro Bowl on Wednesday and six local players made it. Michael Strahan, Osi Umenyiora, Tiki Barber, Jeremy Shockey and David Tyree will represent the Giants while Ty Law will represent the Jets.

Tiki will be joined on the NFC team by his brother, Ronde. While Peyton Manning has made the AFC team, Eli Manning was chosen as the infamous “third alternate” for the NFC team. However, considering the rough and tumble nature of football, it is possible that Eli could make the game as well and provide a second pair of brothers.

As with most All-Star games, especially ones where the fans, coaches and players vote, this one has some controversial selections. Thomas Jones and Joey Galloway are having outstanding seasons for the Bears and Bucs, but they didn’t make the team. Michael Vick, who has a 71.8 QB rating made the team while Mark Brunell and his 87 rating did not. The game will be played on February12th in Hawaii.

Um, Tiki's bro is named Ronde. The 'h' is not only silent, it's not even there.
Actually, when I wiki-ed this to make sure, it turns out his birth name is Jamael Orondé. Tiki's birth name is Atiim Kiambu.

And it's Peyton, not Payton. Can't you check it even briefly before you post?

Ahh.....the Vick Debate. You see lad, Vick was chosen because he leads his team to victories, even whne his stats are bad. Also he is an amazing player to watch. Bunnell puts me and the a lot of people in the Football nation to sleep.

Sorry for the mistakes, I guess I spent too much time trying to spell "Umenyiora"
