this place is great and i have to second the crispy watercress salad. the only thing is when i was looking for the restaurant i didnt immediately realize i was standing in front of it since the blinds are drawn and the facade is very plain, for those of you looking for it the sign is mostly white with freen bordering.

right, PH is pronouned as a P; in Thai, there are two types of P sounds so the PH is a differentiation for that. the P on its own is pronounced more like the second consonant as in 'spoon' which you'll notice doesnt have the 'h' sound like in 'prince'.

so in sripraphai, pra is pronounced with the softer p and phai with the stronger P.

I think they used to (or maybe still do) have the pronounciation on the front of their menu. I'm pretty sure the Thai ph is a P sound, not an F.

Actually, Frank Bruni says: "Sripraphai (pronounced see-PRA-pie" (Also, it's "young 'un").

My family has been to this restaurant on several occassions. It is well worth the visit - the menu was extensive and incredibly affordable. I just can't pronounce the name of the restaurant without getting tongue-tied.

Sripraphai is fantastic! As a former Woodside resident and ardent lover of thai food (I was born with high-flavor, high-spice genes), I wholeheartedly recommend it.
