Oh yeah, I'm sure what everybody in the South Bronx is clamoring for is a fucking mall. A nice way to worsen the severe asthma problem there as well as increase car dependency. Hasn't the City heard of things like umm, I dunno, building communities?
Roger Toussant stop comparing yourself to Rosa Parks! She is most likely spinning in her grave when you invoke her name. About the only thing you have in common with her is skin colour. She was fighting for injustice, not money. She did not screw working people by being selfish.
Anyone else notice that CNN used gothamist.com tip of taking the tourists buses today in a segment? Thought that was kinda funny.
if you have asthma get a god damn purple inhaler like the rest of us. and NEVER move to nyc if you have asthma in the first place. two cases closed.
Just heard on the news: Apparently they've been negotiating since 1:00am this morning.
Cross you fingers.
the Harlem traffic incident report is a little disappointing. When you read the headline it implies the strike caused a violent attack on a stranger (mistaken for a cab driver). When you read the article the only reference is that the attacker may have been car pooling. Ah blame the strike! I imagine if they were listening to an NBC radio affiliate and got enraged at cab drivers by a story on the radio and attacked the cabbie that NBC would be quick to write that they may be the cause of the attack...
What a waste...a mall...
