Where Do the Jets Go from Here?

OK, the two potentially "sexiest" subplots for the remainder of the Jets season are now kaput. Both Curtis Martin's quest for an 11th consecutive 1,000-yard rushing season (his season and streak of 119 consecutive regular season starts were cut short due to bone chips in his right knee would need surgery) and the chances of the franchise gaining the 2006 draft's top choice by finishing dead last.

There's always the contractual future of defensive stud John Abraham...and the latest on the Jets' and Giants' future stadium plans (booked for New Jersey, thanks to acting Gov. Richard Codey).

But after a solid all-around performance in a 26-10 win over Oakland last Sunday in East Rutherford, maybe the Jets (3-10) can somehow provide some further excitement in the waning days of a lost 2005 season including Sunday in Miami (1 p.m., TV: CBS-2, Radio: 1050 ESPN).

Under new head coach Nick Saban, the Dolphins (6-7) have already supassed their win total from a 4-12 campaign in 2004. Prediction: Dolphins 30-21.
