Furnishing the Facades of Greenpoint

2005_12_greenchair.jpg

While walking home in Greenpoint the other day, we spotted something a little strange - a chair on the face of a building. Upon further examination, it was above a sign for a local furniture store (or at least we assume that's what it translated to). Maybe the store owner wanted to spruce up the facade of the building or maybe they were trying to emulate the Absolut billboard that used Ikea furniture.

hey, good post. seeing a floppy plastic chair outside in the winter reminds me that someone needs to do an exposé of the lawn chair / folding chair strategies employed to save parking spots. After a blizzard, folks shovel out and let the furniture do the guardin'.......chair city!
