Dumped!

2005_12_svancouver.jpgThe Rangers had an opportunity to gage themselves against a first place team Tuesday night and they showed they still have some work to do if they want to make an impact in the playoffs. Vancouver out hustled the Rangers in the first half of the game and then held on in the second half to earn a 3-2 win.

Petr Prucha continued his torrid scoring pace netting both of the Rangers goals. Prucha’s development has been a key component of their recent success as they now have a second legitimate scoring threat to compliment Jaromir Jagr. Prucha now has fifteen goals and although everyone seems obsessed with Sidney Crosby, is making a strong case for himself as the league’s top rookie.

Despite the loss the Rangers are still in first place and have four days off until they face Colorado on Sunday.

A first place hockey team - I guess we'll see you on the bandwagon come playoff time.

um, they play hockey in periods. there are three of them. while there is a half way point in the middle of the second period, there really isn't a discernable first or second half.
