I bet it's because of the changing demographic of Carrol Gardens. Yuppie hipsters wouldn't deign to decorate garishly at Christmas - white lights, red bows, a couple of pine cones, and that's it.

Glad you enjoyed the pics. Inspired by our trip to Dyker heights, we also set up a wayfaring map of xmas lights in brooklyn and are looking for some more hot spots.
