Giants-Eagles Preview

2005_09_sgiantslogo.jpgThis is a game that the Giants should easily win and those are the most dangerous types of games in December. Philadelphia has been decimated by injuries and bad behavior. Their three best offensive players, Donovan McNabb Brian Westbrook and Terrell Owens are all out for the season. They are starting a former Rutgers player at quarterback and they just got destroyed by the Seahawks 42-0 on national television.

The one thing the Eagles have left is a very good defense. Yes, they gave up 42 points last Monday, but 28 of those were off of turnovers by the offense. Philadelphia allowed only 194 yards in that game and held the dangerous Shaun Alexander to 49 yards rushing.

The Eagles defense will make a stand on Sunday and keep Eli Manning off balance all day. Gothamist sees a healthy dose of Tiki Barber and another dominating defensive effort allowing the Giants to escape Philadelphia with the win 10-3.

McMahon certainly did make the NFL, but Rutgers is not usually mistaken for "The U" Then again, another few years of season like they just had and I won't have anything to dis the Scarlet Knights about.

Rutgers dis = bad. McMahon is a cocky chump, but he made the NFL.

The Eagles D only put up decent numbers last week because Seattle pulled its starters midway thru the third quarter.

Philly fans are miserable. Their foul tempers make them fun to beat. Though a few of 'em looked like they were having fun on Monday (I guess when everybody else goes home, the beer line gets a lot shorter).
