It's depressing to think that one day, the creeping Manhattanization of Brooklyn and Queens may mean the end of sights like these, low-rise neighborhoods where you can actually see broad swaths of sky. (Although that process will almost certainly not be complete in our lifetimes, thankfully.) Not that I hate Manhattan, but a little bit of variety never hurts. Let Manhattan be Manhattan and Brooklyn be Brooklyn. Screw Ratner. And how could you point to Forgotten-NY without linking to the page about the Kentile and Eagle signs?
