Before You Sell Your House, Read This

Yikes yikes yikes. A 75 year-old woman who is selling her Bronx home was beaten and robbed by people posing as prospective buyers. And then they set fire to her house. WNBC reports that Immacolata Zallo had just shown the couple around when they attacked her and stole about $11,000 worth of goods. A neighbor called the FDNY after seeing smoke from Zallo's house. putting the "For Sale" sign in the window was the tip off, but this makes us wonder if what self-defense tactics are being used by people buying, selling, renting, leasing on craigslist when they show/inspect the property.
