Opening: Friday // 8 pm // Brooklyn Fire Proof [101 Richardson St, Brooklyn] // $6
Exhibit: November 18 - December 18th, 2005 // Gallery hours are Saturday and Sunday, 12 - 6 pm (closed for Thanksgiving Weekend)

EVENT: Creatures of the night...come to Psyche's Sideshow: A Carnival of the Conscious. This is the official Burning Man Decompression event for New York City. Whatever that means. So before hunkering down for the long winter ahead, join in on one last blow-out, a thirteen-hour interactive carnival where revealing of souls through art, music, performance and revelry can be witnessed and experienced.
Theme camps, demonstrations, live and electronic music, dancing, a grill, cotton candy, monkeys, drink specials and porta potties can also be experienced.
Saturday // 2pm - 3am // Brooklyn Sugar [289 Kent Ave (entrance on South 2nd), Williamsburg] // Tickets are $15-35, buy them here

MUSIC: We're sure there's a lot of music going on this weekend, but how many cd release parties for bands managed by Gothamist editors are there? We'll tell you, there's ONE. Just one. That's right, Bravo Silva is releasing their cd in to the wild this Saturday. To help them out are the bands: Les Sans Culottes, Pants, The Shapes and Langhorne Slim. The Whitest Kids You Know will be performing comedy in between sets, and the Finger on the Pulse deejays will be spinning tunes.
Saturday // 8pm // the Syrup Room [100 Ingraham St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn] // $5

THEATER: Bartleby, The Scrivener has to be just about the best, most appropriate to
see on a Friday after you're finally released from the confines of your cubicle with its sick fluorescent light and the sound of a neighbor snapping gum. R.I. Lane has adapted Melville's story of a young worker who just says NO to both the ridiculous demands of the Wall Street law office where he
works and the tired conventions of polite society. Go and cheer him on, and watch the array of characters he disturbs squirm and splutter.
Through November 27 // Wed through Sat 8pm, this Sunday 3pm & 8pm // Blue Heron Arts Center [123 E. 24th St] // Tickets at Smarttix
