Dang, that was a long time. I mean really; how long does it take to cut that thing open and install some simple electronic people monitoring/eavsdropping equipment, and seal'er back up? Hey, maybe they installed some high frequency tone generator as well (Like those ultrasonic devices for repelling animals) to keep away the riff raff.

No, that's Uncle Pennybanks, a new tenent from the undulating building. As part of the Cube unveiling ceremony Uncle Pennybanks beat several dirty punksters with his cane and shooed them away from his neighborhood to usher in a new era in East Village history. It's only a matter of time before Uncle Pennybanks comes after me too.

Didn't it take about nine months to clean up Ground Zero? And it took ten months to clean the cube. There must have been some nasty gunk inside of it.
