While paying bills online is very easy and convenient, Gothamist's day was made when we got the Muppet Stamps at the Post Office. Sure, you may have to wait in line for ages. And, yes, your post office might be robbed. But Fozzie Bear on a stamp! Beaker and Bunsen too! Thirteen characters (three stamps have duos: Statler & Waldorf, Bunsen & Beaker, Gonzo & Camille the Chicken) pose to look like they are bursting out of the envelope when the stamps are affixed, and on the back of the page, there's a note. For instance, the Swedish Chef's says, "Neider ruun, nor snee, nor de duskee-dusk will stoopin de mail, yoo betcha! Bork! Bork!"
Next, we want some 80s sitcom stars stamps! And there's a new Muppet reality show in the works.

so freaking awesome. must buy stamps.
ah c'mon jen.... GROVER and camille? i'm sure you mean gonzo..
my huge crush is waning..
Sweet! Off to the post office am I...
Don't you have to be DEAD to be on a stamp?
NOOOOOOO!
Mom'd told me Swedish Chef and Sam the Eagle were taken to a farm. Where they'd be happier.
by the way stamps r goin up to $.39 or somth next year...muppet stamps r funny though
There seem to be two sets of Muppets, the Muppet Show Muppets and the Sesame Street Muppets. The only bridge character is of course, Kermit the Frog.
Did you also know the famous Muppet song "Mah na mah na" is actually a cover of a song from some sort of Swedish/Italian porn film from the 1960? It was written by Italian composer Piero Umiliani for a film called "Svezia, Inferno e Paradiso". Very odd, no?
You don't have to waste 45 minutes standing in line at the post office to buy stamps. You can buy them on the usps.gov website and they will deliver them to your house for $1. Personally, my 45 minutes is worth more than $1 to me!
Not to go all Muppet connoisseur on your asses, but isn't it Camilla the chicken, not Camille?
